How much does a website cost?

Well, we like to take it on a case by case business. However, cdadev has one of the lowest “minimum fees” in town. If you are a small business and only have 2-4 pages, and a minimal design, you could pay as low as $650. However, most of our small business websites are between $850-$1500. It really all depends on what you need.

How long does it take to build a website?

This is also one of those things that we can more accurately tell you when we are giving you a quote. However, in the past when working on small websites with a very open schedule, we have completed websites within a week. It really all depends on the size of the project and your schedule.

Are their any upfront costs with building a website?

We typically require 50% down before we begin a project. This helps ensure that our time is not wasted should we come across a customer that changes their mind about having a website halfway through.

Will I get business from my website?

Almost sure of it! We cannot control or guarantee search engine results. However, getting good placement with a website for local services and products is fairly easy. Our clients that we have developed websites for that do fence installation, sprinklers, colon hydrotherapy, and things like that get almost all of their business from their website! In fact, we even had a customer recently tell us that he was getting so much business from his website that he canceled his phone book ad!

Just how many people are searching online for my products and services?

Most of them. Most people 45 and younger are relying on Google, not the phone book, to find local products and services. A 2005 report showed that at least 75% of consumers searched for local business’s online. And yet, many business’s are still relying on a very expensive, yearly phone book ad.

What is your hourly rate?

We are $50 an hour. Sounds intimidating, but we can get a lot done in an hour! In fact, many web design firms are $75+. Considering that, we are pretty inexpensive and most firms cannot beat the amount of experience that we have in all areas of web design and internet marketing.

I have an existing website, can you spruce it up a bit?

Sure thing! We do face lifts on websites all the time. Its good to bring your website up to speed in design and functionality from time to time.

What are some things I can do to save money?

Probably one of the most important things you can do is to write the content/text of the pages that will be going on the site. For one, you don’t us writing that. We can, but you are the expert in your field. For two, it’s not rare for us to develop a website and then have it look empty because the customer did not take the time to develop any content for it. Even the most beautiful website designs can look horrible if there is no content to put inside it.

We can definitely develop and work with you to create content for your pages, it will just cost you more.

Do you hand/hard code websites?

You bet! We do not use cheezy html editors to write our code. We do it all by hand to ensure that you are getting optimal, high performance code. In almost every case we use standards compliant xhtml/css.
